Installing scuttlePLUS Administrator

1. Recompile apache (click here for screenshot):
   • Enable mb_string extension
   • Enable GD library
   • Enable FreeType Support
   • Enable CURL
   • Enable OpenSSL
2. Create MYSQL Database
3. Download and unzip the scuttlePLUS files
4. FTP the files to your server
5. Set the following permissions
   • CHMOD the /cache/ sub-folder to 777
   • CHMOD the /logs/ sub-folder to 777
   • CHMOD the /translate/cache/ sub-folder to 777
   • Set permission of conn.php to 777
6. Access install.php and enter MYSQL information
7. Click INSTALL to complete the installation.
8. Clean up server files
   • Delete install.php when done.
   • Change permission of conn.php to 644

Configuring the scuttlePLUS Administrator

You should change the following items immediately:

1. Go to the SETTINGS page and edit your configuration options:
   • Change admin password
   • Enter the email Admin email address
   • Choose to allow or turn off public user registration.
2. Go to the SPAM FILTERS page:
   • Enter additional SPAM filters (optional)
3. Go to the TOKENS page:
   • Edit or create your own tokens

To modify additional config options, simply access the HELP page for more information on each setting.
